The Jackson MS Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc invites students in grades 6 through 12 and their parents to attend the Financial Check-Up, an educational financial literacy workshop taking place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Jackson State University College of Business. This interactive event is designed to equip both youth and adults with the knowledge and tools needed to build strong financial futures. Students will have the opportunity to participate in InvestorQuest, where they can learn the basics of the stock market, build virtual portfolios, and engage in a fun and competitive learning experience. Adults will attend workshops focused on essential financial planning topics, including wills and estate planning, heirs’ property and land rights, advance directives and power of attorney, banking fraud prevention, economic development and wealth building, and insurance.
