Jackson Hinds Library System Appoints New Executive Director

The Jackson Hinds Library System (JHLS) has appointed Jeanne Williams as its new Executive Director, effective June 16, 2025. Williams, a Mississippi native with more than two decades of library leadership experience, brings a strong background in community partnerships and inclusive library spaces. She will lead the implementation of JHLS’s newly adopted 2025–2030 Strategic Plan, which focuses on facility upgrades, outreach, staff development, and expanded community programming. “I’m honored to join JHLS at the start of a new chapter,” Williams said. “This is a time of renewed purpose and possibility.”
