In the heart of Jackson, Alexis Noble is redefining the city’s creative landscape through Vibe Studio Jackson and The Mashup—two ventures dedicated to uplifting Black and Brown artists. Located in Southwest Jackson, her studio is more than a gallery; it's a space of possibility, where art becomes a tool for community, culture, and change. Through youth partnerships, inclusive programming, and a deep belief in the power of creative expression, Noble is building a future where art is accessible, transformative, and deeply rooted in the people it represents.

Jackson native Ruthania Hudson is a JAN Ward 5 representative and honorary Alta Woods Neighborhood Association president.

The Ark, a non-profit organization under New Horizon Ministries, Inc., is a community center dedicated to community empowerment, restoration, and transformation. It is nestled in south Jackson across from the Alta Woods neighborhood and serves its community via sports, fitness, creative arts, education, and other programming.

The boundaries of Alta Woods are Raymond Road (North), Terry Road (East), Cummins Street (South), and Alta Woods Boulevard (West).
