FY 2025–2026 Departmental Budget Hearings Are Underway

The City of Jackson has officially kicked off the FY 2025–2026 Departmental Budget Hearings, where each department presents its proposed budget, outlines priorities, and discusses how taxpayer dollars will be spent over the coming year.

Budget hearings are open to the public, giving residents the opportunity to learn where the city’s resources are going, understand the challenges departments face, and see how decisions are made. Your voice matters and engaging in this process helps ensure the city’s priorities align with community needs.

If you can’t attend in person, you can watch the hearings, housed within the Finance Committee, and the committee’s meetings live on Facebook: City of Jackson – City Council.
