Community members are invited to attend the 35th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Prayer Breakfast and Celebration on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 7:30 a.m. at Greater Bethlehem Temple Church in Jackson. Hosted by the Hinds County Legislators, the public event honors the life, legacy, and dream of Dr. King through prayer, reflection, and fellowship over a complimentary breakfast. In partnership with the Mississippi Food Network, a canned food drive will also be held to support families facing food insecurity, with attendees encouraged to donate peanut butter, low-sodium canned vegetables, and no-sugar-added canned fruit.
