The Capitol Police Meet & Greet is a public community engagement event featuring a panel discussion with law enforcement and community leaders focused on open dialogue, safety, and community partnership.

This event will take place on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mississippi Trade Mart, located at 1200 Mississippi Street in Jackson. Doors will open at 5:30 PM.

The guest panel will include representatives from Capitol Police, the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office, the Jackson Police Department, and the Capitol Complex Improvement District Court. Community members are invited to attend, ask questions, and engage in meaningful discussion around public safety and community concerns.
